I am Nancy Wilson, married to Douglas. We have three married children, which has resulted in thirteen grandkids. It's a party at our house, and you can find some of that here. Blogging along with me are my daughters Bekah and Rachel, and my daughter-in-law Heather.

Lowly Gentleness

The fruit of the Spirit is….gentleness. What does that mean? To be gentle is to be easily handled, tame, kindly serene, mild, not violent, not harsh, not rough. Like all the other fruit of the Spirit, this gentleness is first displayed in God.
God is Gentle

Gracious Goodness

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness….”
Goodness is virtuous, kind, pure, generous, excellent, benevolent. It is moral excellence.
What’s the opposite of goodness? Badness.
God is abounding and overflowing in goodness.

Kindness

God is Kind
A definition: sympathetic, friendly, gentle, tender-hearted, generous. Also note the connection to mercy in many of the verses below. Mercy is a disposition to forgive, pity; it is compassionate, implies forbearance and sympathy. Kindness is bestowing blessings.
