A Comment

For some reason I can’t get the comments I have written to appear, so I’m just going to write a short post instead. One of the commenters (under Palin,Take 3) referred to the coming grandchild as a bastard. Regarding the use of the term, it technically means a child born to unmarried parents. In the case of the Palins’ daughter, she will be married when the child is born. So I think the term is inappropriate on that count.

Your thoughts regarding concerns about Palin being a model Christian woman are significant. I immediately thought of Deborah, wondering if God were indeed raising up a woman to say clearly what men seem to be dodging regarding abortion issues. Perhaps a life living it out is more convincing and needed. Who knows?

But either way, I am refreshed and eager about the election once again — I had grown a bit complacent, I am sorry to say, in the face of our options. Now there is an excitement returning. May Roe vs. Wade become a central issue once again! Is there anything more critical than clear obedience to God’s word? I think not! I, for one, am glad to hear a clear clarion call sounded!

    Um…”correction” singular.

Though I obviously need “corrections” plural. ;)
