Thank you. I just heard a thought provoking expose last week on Joseph, highlighting some of the same issues.

The key attribute of both of His earthly parents was their active obedience under very stressful conditions. Ironic how we expect pristene conditions to be the green light for whether we are in God's will in our lives, when God didn't provide even normal conditions for His Son's earthly parents.

Thank you for taking the time to talk about Mary, the mother of Christ. You are patient in pointing out what a truly incredible young lady Mary was. This is such a great reminder to me. I need to be more mindful in paying attention to these great woman in scripture. God has been wise and kind in showing us faithful woman all through the Bible. Woman I need to pay careful and consistent attention to and emulate. Thank you for the encouraging reminder.
Merry Christmas to you!!

I love, love, LOVE this article. I raved about it to my husband as we were driving all over the valley last evening. I think that we are quick to shy away from Mary because of the "ill-effects" that have been bestowed upon her in other Christian Traditions because of their elevation of her. Because of that it seems as Protestant traditions swing far the other way and do what they can to avoid her in some respects. Thank you for shedding this wonderful light on Mary. I especially loved to see how she followed the leadership of her husband and that we see very clearly (now) how God deals with Joseph as the head of his household. I had never really had that laid before me in that way before. Thank you!

This was wonderful. Thank you for pulling this out of your archives and blessing us with it. I love all the "meat" in it. May we all be women like Mary.
