I think he's really on to something. Sometimes when I pull in the driveway after doing some errands, the children come swarming out of the house to me before I can even catch my breath and get out of the car. This sent an arrow through my heart because I have been so convicted of late of how often I am preoccupied with something when the kids want to play, or talk, or ask me questions, etc. etc. I know I always end up doing a lot of confessing of sin in my comments, but I can't help it.
